Now that you have created your blogs, it's time to develop a blogging ecosystem using the RSS feature.First it would be nice to know what RSS is.
RSS.jpg external image rss-icon-collection.gifOne of the best ways to follow blogs and keep up with what others are posting is to subscribe to blog feeds. To do this I would like you to set up an RSS Reader using either Feedly or alternatively the Old Reader or inoreader(which has iOS and Android apps)

This week you should also work on using widgets on your blogs
The other focus for this week is on comments, making comments on other folks blogs and getting others to comment on yours. To satisfy the assessment rubric you need to consider what makes others comment on your posts and what good comments look like.
As noted in the intro movie for this week blog posts don't have to be wordy. Check out the work of Stephen Downes and Steve Wheeler, two preeminent members of the blogosphere.

Another of the tasks I'm looking for you to try is Social Bookmarking via Diigo. If you aren't familiar with social bookmarking you might like to check out this Commoncraft explanation.
Next look at the Diigo and delicious page and then create a Diigo account.
Once you've joined Diigo and perhaps added the appropriate Diigo tool to your browser you should then join our
EST430 Diigo group in which I have added, (and will continue to add), a number of links for you to consider.
